Too bad they discontinued the 'Bacon' flavor, that was the closest thing you could get to the old MCI 'Smoked Cheese' can. I prefer any cheese with crackers, eat the P.B. right out of the pack, but it's all subjective. (and good for you) LOL

I like the PB over the cheese. My favorite thing to do with it is add spices and water to make peanut sauce. Leftover packet or two of Chinese place soy sauce, and maybe a packet of duck sauce for sweetness, Pepper and garlic powder to your taste and thin with water until smooth. Simple to make and goes good with all kinds of things on the trail. Put on ramen noddles with crushed peanuts and you get a below average but passable pad Thai. Use as a dipping sauce for any cooked meat. On and on. Or if at home try on egg rolls.

So yeah PB for me. I find it more versatile than the cheese sauce.

Wow, thats an extravagant twist to PB. I'll have to check it out. Going to Food-Lion now, to pick up a couple jars of P. Pan and J.I.F. brand.

oh and some ginger.. since all the spices you;ll be carrying will be dried let it set for a bit to let the spices open up. Yeah I carry a mini spice rack . Well 3 tri lobe bottles.. about the size of a old film canister. 3 spices each.. salt, pepper, ginger, cummin, and mix match others to taste. Red pepper flake is always good.

I also carry a mini spice bottle with 6 compartments. Indispensable.

I love MRE peanut butter. It's so much better than the stuff you get off supermarket shelves.

Just the other day I opened a 2014 menu 12 MRE and found this inside. Had it on a 3 year old poptart for breakfast. Awesome.
