Sounds like you have a patrol pack, the older version.
The assault pack has ample webbing for everything.
waist pack attaches to bottom sustainments low on the sides, canteens high on the sides

hey treesuit ,iwas in the states in july ,and looked at this

Ummmm...okay I see what your saying. I'll have to try that and see how something like that feels on a hike. I do have a lot of extra MOLLE gear leftover from 2004 so I'll take your suggestions and see what it looks and feels like. Thanks
