In that case it may be worth asking that shop about shipping it out. What shop is this? An eBay store or an actual physical shop somewhere?

Its an actual Surplus Store in Bavaria that also sells their stuff also over the internet
link:

They also offer international shipping but their international checkout is kinda bugged and doesnt update the correct shipping price,
so the best bet would be that either me, or Housil buy it for you in germany, get it send to us and then forward the package to you

Slightly offtopic but I still don't understand how can they have MRE's in their store, I mean legally. It's absolute mess to get things from USA food related and in addition to all this one is US govt. property - not for sale items. I see some other stores have MRE STAR but this one I can understand it's commercial item and it has company behind of it with all documents you need etc. and you have clean accounts and papers...
By the way MRE STAR is like 15 euros for a bag!

The MRE's in Germany/Europe usually come from US service members who are stationed at various bases in country. There are also TONS of international training events between our Military and other nations, where MRE's may be handed out and not used. The various circumstances where/how MRE's end up in these stores are unlimited! However, as an end user you have nothing to worry about where concerned with legality.

If you are replying to me I doubt you understand what exactly interested me. But if you know more about this stuff I would be happy to ask more detailed questions because I would really like to know how some EU based company can legally sell (genuine) US MRE's. I was working for years in company that had business with US based companies and I've seen tons of problems with documents and regulations from size of the knifes and machetes to failed orders of medipacs that had few antibiotics among the contents. To get MRE in your store you need to find someone selling them in wholesale, so is there any company in US doing that? And beside that health regulations are insane so most of the stuff needs to go to testing and evaluation no matter possibillity we have all contents and ingredients provided by company that sold us that stuff.
Sure if I buy them I don't feel need to ask where did they get them and how but what if I have company and I want to sell US MRE's in my store. How is my options unlimited in that circumstances? If you are saying in general then sorry I replied directly to you, but maybe someone else knows more and can share some info.

Asger,
For that I think you need to ask someone who works in international logistics or has studied commercial law or something. Seems like a very complex thing

Asger,
Sorry, yes my response was directed at your question, but not the legit business side of importing/exporting selling food products as you were asking, more the "grey area" of surplus, but In the USA and elsewhere, as you know legit "Military" MRE's are produced under government contract and are not sold to civilians. Most of the Military surplus companies acquire their MRE's from soldiers / 2nd hand. Meaning they bypass most of the regulations you are trying to adhere to. As far as the legality of doing so, as applied to "Military" MRE's I would say its a legal grey area, were the Military to enforce a ban on selling rations, then yes, there is a good change if you had a bunch of them in your Military surplus store they would confiscate them, at a minimum they would want to know where and when you purchased them.
You are absolutely correct about the health regulations too, the liability of selling food must not be discounted. Most sellers simply state that the rations are not to be considered for consumption only "collectors" items. However, the "risk" is still there for the seller, just saying its not for consumption does not mean you as a seller have no fault, these laws are complex and often allow the end user/ regulator to hold the seller accountable for an item they have sold that caused an illness.
