Have you set up a paypal account yet for the museum for donations? It would be helpful if you did that before the auction, that way people can pay it directly to the charity.

We are a charitable organization, registered as a 501(c)(3) A54 Historical Museum. Our current status can be viewed via GuideStar or Charity Navigator. Both of those sites can channel donations to the Museum's bank account, and for direct donations we also have a PayPal account tied to donations@rationmuseum.com. On request I'd be happy to produce a donation receipt for anyone that would want it for tax deduction purposes (100% of the value of any gift or donation to the Museum is considered tax deductable). Anyone can also go to the Support the Museum page on our site and donate directly there as well. With the KickStarter campaign we'll have reward tiers with things like MCI Pound Cakes, Fruit Cakes, Cafeteria Tray sets and some harder to find rations so I'd suggest members here wait to donate until we get that up and running (if anyone was thinking about it).

I need to put in a few more days/weeks of work on the website and fundraising details, and then I'll be launching a KickStarter campaign to raise enough to move the collection into a commercial rental property so we can open to the public. I'll definitely be keeping everyone in the loop here, and will coordinate the launch of the campaign with as many reviewers as I can on YouTube. With any luck we'll reach a few hundred thousand people within the first week or two of the fundraiser.

Maybe I can get them to do it at their Pensacola FL show in November. Will have to wait and see what kind of turn out we get at KC.

No joy on the August, got gun shows and the GCO convention already on the schedule, but checked and Oct is clear. Now to see if I can arrange the funding to make it...

Awesome! Hope you can make it. if you do gun shows in Georgia, we might have met before. I have done a few down in Atlanta. Mostly the big one RK does a couple times a year. 1400 table show. They do it at the same hall Eastman does it in.

I do, but stay in the NW ga region. Dalton, Rome, Cartersville...if you've been to one of those shows in the last 4 years, I was the guy working the GCO table. Are you talking the Farmers Market show or the big Atlanta Expo show?

That sounds awesome! I'm looking ahead, and it looks like I might be able to make it there.

Brother, I picked up 2 and 4/5 cases of Canadian IMPs today. Will save 3 of them for the auction if we are able to do it. Just an FYI.

Definitely put me down as "tentative, very interested". It looks like my schedule is clear that weekend and I'll put it down and hopefully nothing critical will get in the way.

If we can get the live streaming going, we will do a charity auction for Ruleryak. If we do that, can we open a page here for the bidding?

We are good to go with the Internet access for the live feed. NNF, do you have the equipment we would need for this? If not, what do we need? I can start working on getting it. At this time, we have over $1000 retail worth of items being donated for the auction for Ruleryaks museum. And we still have 6 months to go to get more stuff. We might be able to raise enough for him to lease a building.
