The guy had listed like 40 cases and they all sold in about 3 days. I think there were some A cases still for sale same price but produced in 2013 if I remember correctly. It sounds too good to be true but i'll find out when they arrive.
I picked up a few more cases on eBay recently, and they are 2014 DoP and sealed cases. They were a pretty good deal as well, and I was pleased. Everything seems totally legit with them. Good TTI, no evidence of tampering, etc. I sampled one of them, and they look as fresh as advertised. Hope your purchase goes well too. :D

Thanks dude, I bought them for my young nephews to taste. A few months ago I was watching one of Gundogs reviews when they came by for a visit. They were really interested and wanted to try the "army food" So I bought two single MREs but they turned out to be from 2007 and not in good shape, like they had been stored poorly. The kids still enjoyed opening them and tasting some of it it and every time they have come over they ask when I will get more. They just arrived! While I was typing this THEY ARRIVED! They look great, The case is in perfect condition and the orange indicator is good, I took one out and it has a date code of 4254. I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl. When my nephews come over this weekend, maybe we'll do a review.

After reading some of the comments, I must say I seem to be blessed.

MRE's for me generally come down to about $3.75 a piece. After dividing the case price by the number in the case. That is flat cost. The only other cost would be fuel expended to get there.
Also, the gentleman that procures them. Can very rarely find other items. They may not always be the freshest year, but they have been stored adequately. Have rarely had any item that was a no go.

I was at a local gun and knife show. About every aisle, be it on the ends or sometimes the middle. There were "real" MREs for about $6 a piece, $50 a case. However, there were some price fluctuations. Civilian versions going for about the same rate. There were also FSR's for $10 a piece. Naturally, I snagged some. Asked what kind of deal I could get for a case. $90 for a case of 12. Though I also made another purchase that might have influenced that deal.

It would also seem like the prepper mindset, or honest attempts of preparedness are catching on. SHTF, especially in a big way, the government is going to have its hands full. Hurricane Katrina comes to mind. I can understand why some people would want to stay. However, if you chose to stay in a danger area. Especially when there was plenty of advance warning and help available before. It is your own fault for being caught unprepared and in unnecessary danger.
