sorry housil,i was a last minute thing ,and i dont have a camera in my 24 hour bag.

bypah, i am the same ,i cant take to camelbaks,i get a sore throat and drinking is a chore.i think it is meant to allow troops to be constantly sipping,but coming into a rest stop ,sitting down and half emptying a waterbottle feels better.i like the crusader mug and kit,but i have dumped it in favour of my jetboil,that ,a spoon and a mug this mug is the best bit of kit i have used in a long time.squaddies call it ammo pouch cup,and i thought it was a gimick,because i have used most and they dont work,have a plastic tast and break easy.My son got me one and it is my constant companion,i can make a coffee at 06.00 and its still warn at midday.i took mine to florida this summer and used it for cold drinks and because it stainless easy clean and no after taste.

I have a set of two complete sets of crusader water bottles and their cooking unit. Also have a third one but with a US canteen cup and cooking kit. Since I bought them I use them and maybe I'm old school but I like them better than the camelbacks. I have seen the jetboil system but is too expensive and the crusaders do their job ok so why the change....
what I'm looking for is one of the finish prototypes of stainless steel canteens which are very rare to find or the stainless steel water bottle and cup designed for the special forces in Afghanistan which is also super rare. I only saw it once in ebay and the competition was fierce for it.

No worries about going OT housil, I was the one wandering OT myself! sodjer, thanks for your reply, the pouches I have are nylon with fasteners similar but not identical to the U.S. molle system. Another thing I really like but cannot find are the UK DPM pattern uniforms, for some reason I think they blend in better here in western Massachusetts than the U.S. camo.

rationtin,the webbing you have is plce 90,its not designed for the l1a1,the mags fit at a push,it likes the m16 style better,stange about the dpm cammo.my son and i took quite a bit of kit to florida this year as swaps and had bother getting rid of it,i am going back to the states again next year(but later)i ll speak to you then.

I had the opportunity to use the Bundeswehr webbing and I can testify that's work great. Very comfortable, can be configured as it needed, also, in my case, the G3 magazine pouches takes perfectly the PSL rifle magazines.

The funny part is that I was asked to return in the army, in case of Ukrainian civil war spreading...
