Hello,

yes the "New German Rations for Elite Units" and the "Austrian Army Special Rations" are completely FAKE!

But the German Army does have a kind of special ration, it´s called
EPA leicht "EPA light".

This rations are popular for units of the DSO "Divisoin Special Operations"

Yes, theGerman Army has indeed EPA Lights. A had 2 specimens, but traded them a year ago against an US Arctic ration. They resembled very much the Dutch Commando rations. As far as I can remember the German EPA Light had also freeze dried Travellunch meals. (Made by Simpert Reiter GmbH).
The only difference between military and commercial Travellunch pouches is the printing on the outside: military have black printing,s commercial have color printings.

Recently I have been told by a very relyable source, that the Germans are going to update their rations. They also want a small toothbrush-like item in the rations, the same one as are in the Dutch Arctic rations (and used to be in the old English Arctic ration).

Hello everyone!

I have a German ration pack, the food items are dated 1988. There is no bulging whatsoever, but are they edible?

In addition, does anybody know where I can get German rations in greater/easier supply than Ebay?

Thanks,

Tom
