Kman, do you know what the dimensions are on a case of british rats?
If i have the correct weight and dimensions i can probably pop up to the post office and ask them what the options are...

I also just checked Fedex International Ground and shipping through them was just CAD$72. A little better at least...

Ok - just measured. In inches, it's 23.5 x 16 x 8.

Sorry I'm getting in late on this discussion, but I've wanted to get some BritRats but the shipping across The Pond was dreadful.
Am I reading that we have a contact in BC who can help? ("Hello! Love BC! Camped in Cascade. Been to Kamloops. Swam in the Osoyoos. Tea at the Empress...and so on.")
I'm in the L.A. area and would be interested in a case or even a portion -- I'll split one with one of the other Angelos here (fdsman, et al).

Just kidding about the finder's fee...
A reference to the giving away of my source....Canadiangunnutz....
I only snagged 4 cases...
I'm glad that some of you lads got in on it too....
"camping food" works for shipping....For heavy stuff like this, I tend to use Greyhound Freight....If there is a Greyhound Depot nearby, it may be an option although I'm not sure about their willingness to ship across the border....

Yeah, thanks for putting me on to that site! I've found a lot of useful info there. I was going to ask you if the feedback you left him was for the british rats, but i guess you answered my question before i asked! Was wondering if you've recieved them yet and if so whether they're in good shape and within date?

Alright, i just mailed the guy a money order which means sometime next week i should have 6 cases of British Rats showing up here! Just doing some rough estimates on the canada post website (the people at the post office were actually less helpful) shipping looks like about $76 CDN to North Carolina, $51 CDN to Colorado, and $53 CDN to California. Could be less, i'll find out for sure what it will be when the cases come in and i can measure and weigh them. In any case it's definitely much better than that 90+ british pounds i got quoted to ship four rations from the UK to here!

Good news everyone! I have 6 cases of british rations sitting in my garage at work lol... They're not new new but still fairly recent, 4 cases from 09/02, one 03/01, and one 09/00... Had some hamburger and beans and some turkey and herb pate last night and it was pretty decent! I should probably re-box the ones i'm shipping out, since the current cases have "24 hour ration" printed on the side and we know how much the FDA likes those things!
