Schnitzel is an austrian invention, I think, but I love to try some Thuringian sausages or some Weisswurst...

Münchner Weißwurst & sweet mustard........
But.. white bratwurst is véry eatable..
And I love sauerkraut, not because it tastes that good, but it's a very good part of your winterdiet, and still healthy.
(Not prepackaged, only "fresh" (as far as fermented cabbage can be fresh) sauerkraut from the local farmer)

I agree that most US beers are pretty crappy, however not all of us prefer such.

I prefer a beer with a good hoppy, citrusy taste. Here in the NW US there are alot of micro breweries that produce good, flavorful beer, such as Hefeweizen, (Widmer Brothers) and Pale Ales (Deschutes brewery) Coincidentally, WA state produces about 77% of the total hop crop in the US
Cabbage rolls (definitely a must have)
...
Sauerbraten (mit rotkraut und Spätzle)
Rouladen
I had the
cabbage roll from a Canadina IMP and I really liked it.
We like it over here too.
That was definitely a good IMP. Years ago one of the IMP manufacturers, Magic Pantry, made a civvie version which was just as good.
Where do you know (German) Sauerbraten from? We have it once or twice a month and it´s also available canned in supermarkets. Same with Rouladen.

Both are available in German restaurants here. Here in my state, we have a Bavarian Village (Leavenworth WA) where good German cuisine can be had. We usually go there about once a year.

Nope.
Only by peoples that have been over here (e.g. with the Army). You will get Sauerbraten and other Germany stuff "over there" only where Germans are like the
Hofbräuhaus in Las Vegas, or the
Deutsches Eck in Miami (I had Sauerbraten and Spätzle there)
Or you have family members of german origin.

Meine "großtante".... my great auntie. My great uncle married a german lady and she used to make the best Sauerbraten and veal schnitzel "mit kartoffelsalat".....yummmmmm!!!
I used to eat almost the whole bowl of that potato salad....
My wife makes some schnitzel from time to time. She was a miitary brat.
She lived for a while in Germany because her dad was in the Air Force.

Hehehehe.. funny that everyone likes bavarian food..
This is a quote from a German Bundeswehr website (nonofficial) for conscripts..
Wer die bayrische Küche jedoch nach einer Weile gewohnt ist, mag sogar das deutsche EPA
"Who is used to the bavarian kitchen after a while.. Even likes the german EPa"
Conincedence?
And about the beck's..

Mr. Eman your right about that. I went there last year during their OctoberFest and had some of the best food and wine here in the state. I also like going there early in the spring when the Wenatchee river is low. It's a perfect time to go whitewater rafting and see some of the country from the river.

Yes Cracker,
It is true, Washington State wines are very well known and liked right up there with Californian wines. When I was there in October, they had a lot of wine tasting rooms and gardens where you could taste many local wines and some from all over the state and Oregon. And yes I did have some very good Barvarian food there too...

Cracker seems to enjoy romanian cuisine. Or is just my mother warnings, she said kick hiss butt if he don't eat?
