Nor-way hello Nor-way, this is Germany... Germany... do you read me... copy?
Norge, so how are you up there? North/east Germany got a "Blizzard", media was driving everybody nuts in recommanding buying supplies, do not leave home...

Chopping some wood

and having a walk with Mrs. Housil outside into the woods

driving 4WD just for fun

got some more snow
and at least
using my MSS (Modular Sleeping System) to sleep outside while snow storm "Daisy" was over here.
So, how´s at Norway?

germany i read you loud and clear
Yes we had snow...and 30-celsius!!! but then the damn rain and storm came
with 4+ celsius

so now i have whit slush and a LOT of ice
around and on the roads.
So if you had your medic car here in norway, wow you would
made a fortune
The thing is that south of norway and europe have more snow than normal
and above the arctic sircle litle but colder in periodes,30-for days.
we use wood for heating the house to,electric power is$$$ now
so more wood less e power.
and we dont gather extra food or water since this is pretty normal for us
but we have rations just incase+my other emergency stuff.
btw did you sleep out the hole nigth?(how cold?)
cheers from ken

-30°C?!
Holy crap...
I bought a wood stove too to safe us from spending expanse for (gas) heater, that´s why we have wood too.
Very cosy

Ja
Let me tell you the whole "story".
I have that new German Bundeswehr sleeping bag "General Purpose II". The label say, comfort down till -15°C so I was waiting for the right opportunity to give it a try.
I started last Friday night at
Cot, Therm-A-Rest matress, sleeping bag and Bundeswehr Goretex bivybag
At 5am, I woke up from shivering, not real freezing but too much shivering for fall back to sleep again at just -4°C
So I went down my basement, fetched my US MSS

and kept sleeping until 7:30am warm and cosy
@ bypah
That´s are real Blizzards, wow
I´m going to nightshift in a hour, next Bundeswehr sleeping bag and long johns in use...

Commanding ambulances at scene while an industrial fire
