No arguing with you there. Just look at the state of things 100 years ago in 1908. I don't have much doubt that 100 years from now, with or without oil, things will be just as different.
Interesting...I just noticed The Tunguska Event event happened in 1908...June 30th to be exact:

I don't know if you guys have kept up with the latest news about Tunguska, but a team of Italian scientists recently identified the crater supposedly created by the Tunguska meteor. Since no one had ever found a proper crater, all sorts of theories had been going around as to exactly what happened. According to these Italians, a meteor came in at a certain angle and exploded at a certain height. Such an explosion would great an impact crater of a unusual shape and size. And sure enough, nearby Lake Cheko matches what you would expect such a crater to look like:

I think they almost have to give Heath the Oscar because of the awesome performance that I'm hearing about and his unfortunate and untimely end

I don't think they'll be "giving" it to him. If he gets it, it will have been 100% earned through his portrayal. It's a haunting performance.

I have'nt seen the new Batman movie, but I heard, on Drudgereport, that some moron climbed over a fence that was clearly marked "DANGER", at an amusement park down in Souf Cack, or Florida, I forgot, but thus, the fellow was decapitated by the "Batman" ride. Darwin awardian? I think so.

excellent movie watched it saturday afternoon. on 1 actor won oscar posthumously i think it was peter cook for network. six people have been nominated including james dean twice. i think heath ledger gave an awesome performance as the joker. to this point in my opinion he deserves it. although the trailor for the day the earth stood still and the new terminator looked awesome. but i think they dont come out until 2009.

I saw a TV interview with Sir Michael Caine last week. He was absolutely unstinting in his praise for Ledger's performance and felt sure he'd receive an Oscar nomination.

This is for Housil and probably of no interest to anyone else; It is a picture of me with my 1995 Triumph Trident. It is virtually the same as your Sprint but comes without a fairing.
