Lat week when I was driving down the highway heading back home, I had a craving for some of the worst fast food - Taco Bell or even White Castles. I knew there was a Krystal Burger (White Castle clone) on the way so I stopped there. When I looked at their menu, I was dismaybe to find they didn't have anything listed for individual hamburgers - they just had these damn combo meals - hamburgers, fries, drinks. But all I wanted was a couple of burgers (ok...maybe not just a couple :-) ) The place was already half-deserted and looked like they only had two people working there so I wasn't too excited about asking anyone about the menu and I just left. Bummer...no White Castle fix for me.

I've got an idea..

Hows about a White Castle relay..
Anyone traveling from a state that has a White Castle resturant?
Your distination?

If your a business person you should be allowed two pieces of luggage..
Now, If one of those pieces was a large cooler filled with White Castles..
Hmmmm...
Let me think this one over..

In my old car club days, that was how the members bought and received large pieces without shipping them.. Other members picked up the parts and handed them off to another and so forth until you got yours..

You just had to do the same thing for the next guy..
Kinda like paying it forward..

ok - here the original photos of the cheesburger:

preparation: 10 minutes in boiling water is clearly to less. warming up for 30 seconds in the microwave is much better and hotter.

can: there is no bottom and top of the can - you can take out both caps.

taste: in the middle of nowhere is it a delicious thing! a very good alternative to the fresh ones.

Back, around 1998/99, I read in a newspaper, that Some Japanese outfit, was working with Burger King, to develop a burger vending machine. The article stated that the burgers would be vended hot, and same as a burger bought in the BK. I found this hard to believe, I never saw a burger vending machine. If only, I had cut out that article from the newspaper.

i have seen it several times on tv... housil surely got a video of this

well - now we have burger in a can which you can eat one year long cold (or for better taste warm) "out of a can" - why not such a machine...

Nice find on the video - looks like it's Japanese. This makes me think they should add an MRE side - French Fries...or Potatoes, French Fried...I mean Freedom Fried. :-)

Each French Fry side would come with a Hot-Beverage-Bag-type thing that would be used for heating up vegetable oil to 450 degrees. You'd then insert your pre-cut potatoes, prop the "Boiling-Hot-Oil-Bag" up against a "rock or something" and wait 6-8 minutes for your fries to cook up.

I still haven't figured out what exactly you'd use for a heating source. An FRH only gets water up to about 200 degrees...we need to double that!
