This one has Carabinieri in the description (which doesn't always mean anything).

It appears to be an general Italian armed forces ration, no unique variant.

That there's no picture of the reverse or sticker on the front, with the lot and mfg. date is a little concerning.

This is a Carabinieri variant. The front is not always different. I have had Carabinieri units that the front was the same, and others that were different. Each year is a bit different.
The back is where the unique Carabinieri sticker will go.
The carabinieri units don't have the same lot and best buy stickers because they are produced in small batches for the Carabinieri, and usually not stored or stockpiled.

Haven't the Carabinieri rations been stickered for the last few years? The stickers have changed design a bit, but at a minimum usually contain lot no. and production date. Whenever I've seen Italian Army or Carabinieri rations where the sticker has been removed or defaced, and it's not mentioned in the description, it's a red flag.

The back of the Carabinieri IS a sticker over the regular army back writing.
The past years had a different front as well, but the current Carabinieri front is the same as the regular front.
I've never seen a Carabinieri
WITH a lot sticker. I get them directly from the members.
Lots of regular Italians have the sticker removed and/or defaced, and it is a red flag. I'd had probably 200 of them, and all of mine have had stickers except for a few.
Usually the sticker is removed so you can't 'see the best by date.
But some people say it's to get it off base. Well 99% of mine have gone off base with the sticker so I don't buy it.

Watts can you post pictures with your explanations? Isn't Carabineri part of Italian Armed Forces so what makes this module B a Carabineri version? I thought Carabineri word is clear and visible not just on the bag but also on the boxes inside...
so this is Carabineri ration even it's marked as Armed Forces?

Yes the Carabinieri is a special unit for Embassy defense, VIP protection, Military and riot Police and one Airborne assault unit. They have their own rations because they are usually close to cities. The difference is there is no Esbit stove, no cordial, and a few other differences (minor).
This is what they used to look like last year:
With the Carabinieri sticker on the back.
Now they just look like the regular army front with carabinieri sticker on the back.
Note B contents on back:

As you can see the front is the same for the Army no special bag anymore:
The back is the sticker over the top for Carabinieri:
and the boxes are Carabinieri:
