Nice review but don't ever microwave anything in these IMPs, especially the retort pouch, it is laminated metal and plastic, and that will cause problems! I suggest eating them cold, or boiling the bag, nothing else, but do not use the water you boil the pouch in as water for coffee or other hot drinks. Boiling the bag will leave that water with a bad taste. I think the point with the peanut butter and jam was that you can put it on the corn bread.

Well yeah as you can see the entree was put into a Pyrex bowl to be cooked, I know better than to put metal in the microwave. I'm not a huge fan of hot drinks, and I've never drank a cup of coffee in my life so there's no problem there either.
I know that that was probably the point for the PB & J but it would have been a strange combination. I've had enough IMP's to know that the components certainly don't always go together.

Thanks for giving it a look. I hadn't tried out an IMP in a long time. I've only got one left in the collection now

BTemple - Like yourself, I also have one in collection (Canada IMP #8 - Smoke Meat)... been wanting to try a breakfast IMP with no luck finding it (Canadian IMP Breaksfast #1 - Sausage and Hashbrown)... are IMP becoming harder to locate these days?... very few available on eBay.

They are pretty hard to get. Fortunately I have a little over 600 of them. Picked up 58 cases last week of 15s and 16s. PM me your address and I will send you one. Let me know which menu you want to try.

Great review! I am doing a small hiking trip tomorrow and was going to take the shepherds pie, but now I think I will take this one. Thanks for reviewing!
