My holy grail of mess kits is the Yugoslavian mess kit. The one i have is all aluminum. The only piece that is plastic is the canteen cap. Heavy gauge aluminum built like a tank. Unfortunately i cant find any info on it. Nothing on the internet. Nothing on youtube. Nothing anywhere. Someone made a comment on youtube about the real yugo mess kit is all aluminum. So i started looking for one. Found one on etsy.com. Bought it and when it arrived it was the plastic one. Contacted the shop they sent out the all metal set. Tried to get another it was the last one. So i have one its awsome u can cook in all the containers and boil water in the canteen. Any info on this kit would be awesome! Thanks

Cant find any of these kits anywhere. I have searched all over the world. Its crazy they must be rare or whoever has them is hanging on to them

Ask Crombat Rations team - they should know. I saw them using this mess kit in a video and part of it was laso made of plastic

That aluminium set was probably newer production from Serbian Army. Never seen one, but I know it's not Yugoslavian because you will not find single YPA soldier that used all aluminium mess kit. But there are Serbian soldiers that had all aluminium mess kit.

Producer of YPA M69 was Rade Končar factory from Croatia, several companies made cutlery. You get little instruction paper with it that also says what material where used for what.

Additionally there are versions that have aluminium canteen (thermoplastic in original), like the one Slovenian Army used after the war and the break up of Yugoslavia.

The plastic kits have a circle marking. My all aluminum kit has only 1 marking (square) under the handle!

It looks like something made from 1991. up to 2003. since markings say VJ, probably for Vojska Jugoslavije. ČA could stand for a town in Serbia called Čačak.

The price of these are around 10 euros in Serbia, but I don't see it often.
