CCD & ak70g2 !! I tried to sent you PM's, but obviously I did not succeed. The messages stay in my Outbox and do not appear in my Sent Box.

Anyway, Hooah was the only US food exhibitor at the Eurosatory. The German company Trecking-Mahlzeiten (provider of freeze dried meals)was also present, but they did not distribute any rations.

CCD, can you PM me once again so I can try to answer you? Or please send me your privat e-mail address.

Regards!

The wrapper of a freshly eaten Hooah bar, resting on a 4x4 vehicle in Monrovia, Liberia. These Hoaah bars made my stay over there a litlle bit easier. Thanks to CCD!!

Liberia, eh? What was going on over there?

Nothing special was going on. Just having a little fun and looking around the city. 8) And frequently visiting the toilets. :(

Oh BTW: I spoke to some people who recently had travelled into the Liberian 'bad lands'. They independently from eachother told me cannibalism was still existing because of hunger... Well, they got back without being eaten, so maybe they exaggerate a little bit! :D

isn't it the place where 12 year kids holding an AK47 cut your hands with a machette if they cross you in the street and they don't like your face? :?
(...or was it Washington? - just kidding!)

I thing the army ration there is called "Man Ready to Eat"

Yes Stef, a few years ago -during the war- it was one of the baddest places on earth. The war is now over and there is not much killing anymore.

Hate to tell, but I also saw a roasted chimpansee being offered on the street market. Sort of "Monkey, Ready to Eat".
And I will not show the picture I made of it!

If you like extreme poverty, pollution, chaos and no government, then Liberia is the best place to be. If not then don't go there!

Oh man...that has to be the grossest explanation for "MRE". I might just have to put that on a t-shirt. :-)
