Housil I am very impressed with the equipment and training area. I enjoyed your photos and I am sure I would have enjoyed your cooking
I must ask How was the Pea Soup? To me this is a very interesting product

A "goulash" (over here) is a(ny) diced meet (pork, beef, poultry, deer, wild hog etc) cooked in lot´s of sauce for "hours" with either dumplings or "Spätzle" (German pasta).
You are right, there is a "Hungarian Goulash" but this was just "Goulash w/ dumplings" - no need to rattle your patriotic cage

"Erbswurst" was the very first military ration, issued back in 1870 to the Prussian Army. It´s an instant, thick soup. Depends how much water you add. Usually we use it as base and you can Wiener sausages, vegetables etc. to it.

That lone brotchen made my mouth water. Was stationed in Nurnberg for 3 yrs and ate them Mit schinken und emmentaller everyday. I miss them, ALOT...*sigh*

Nurnberg is a GREAT city! Kris Kringle mkt and all the greatest of old world Europe. Some of the best experiences of my life... Was stationed at Darby Keserne in furth and would love to visit again before I leave this world....
