Paul,

Since doing the video some one that was on the Disaster Assistance Response Team team (DART) explained that the cookies were going moldy. The package has two cookies pressed together and sometimes people didn't see the mold if they ate the cookies still pressed together.

I could be off, but I am pretty sure that was a warning not to give out the honey to anyone, but it was ok for the soldier to consume in their ration.
