My favorite coffee also is the vintage spray-dried COFFEE INSTANT TYPE I out of MCIs or early MREs :D .

Did you notice the difference between the weight of contents :!: . The left coffee bag contains 2,5 grams (out of a late MCI Accessory Packet), the right one only 2,2 grams (out of an early MRE Accessory Packet), but the amount of water is identic :!: .

Whatever coffe, i will never again use non-dairy creamer from MRE. Its hard to express how bad it was. Literally ruined my coffee.

rekrutacja, I agree with you on the creamer from MREs; we always had a large jar of dry creamer, usually cremora, on our ambulance track. Even when we still had the MCI creamer packets, because we liked coffee with our dry creamer and sugar!

I have tried many types of coffee. The old MRE Type one powdered coffee is very good. Tasters Choice isn't good. It's kinda sour. The new Diario is fine but it,s only 1.7 g.French coffee is good (2 g).The best tea is in the German rations and I also like their coffee.I still have a Canadian coffee from 1995.Shall I try it?

It's funny how the quantity is getting less...
