MREHeater72,
Okay, I took another look at the photo. I see the outer sleeve on the cartons but the production date is still murky. It's vague but I think it says 97 in the middle. I did not know the outer sleeves were rejected in 2000.

Hey I'm bidding on this case here and I am 100% sure this one is 1991.
The case isn't super pretty looking though - hopefully most the goodies are still intact inside the pouches.
I bought it mainly for the Freeze Dried fruit squares and the the nut cakes.. and not to mention the nostalgia! hah!

Man I hope I win these though because I'm going to do a 12-post review of it with pictures... it's going to be the most fun I'll be having in a long time.I'll also be posting a couple other unusual things I am bidding on now into the review forums - and all will have pictures including ones with me eating the old food.... I have been nuts the past week where I've been on ebay maybe 24 hours worth of time (Over the course of 7 days) looking for newly listed old mre cases, rcw's, mcw's, etc. or anything odd.
I even came across some of those ToTM training meals or whatever they are called. Too bad they are the most boring MRE's ever! Hah!

Hey, thankyou mreheater! I'm going to take 2-3 pics of each item off each entree and do a full report on them and post it on the review forums. My mom is a professional with taking nice close-up pics so be prepared for some real nice detailed photos of that Ham Slice & Chocolate Nut Cake! heheheh
My max bid is currently at such a high and outrageous price that if someone outbids me I would be surprised because I can't figure an old case going for any much higher than a brand new case.

I ended up snagging a 97A, 97B, and the 94 and 92 cases from Kix414 and they showed up well wrapped and in good condition with straps. So if you need a 97 A or B for your collection now's your chance!
