Congratulations Ken
Sure, it is a lot of money, but Simon is right: Its history

!
Make sure that the seller makes a secure packaging to your MRE case, so that there are no damages while shipping
So long mreheater72

so $76 for the MRE's. That seems reasonable.

Boy-howdy you said it! I can't help but always try to get at least one extra of whatever goes into the collection for personal consumption. I collect really really old civilian food as well though I'll admit I haven't had the courage to eat anything from my collection older than the 60s other than gum. Haven't had any gastric problems as a result so I'll keep at it! Most of the really rare and good looking stuff is still too rich for my blood though. As much as I want a 1970 LRP I still can't justify $100 for one once they tack on the shipping and all that jazz.
This is a great hobby though. The changes over time and the differences between types and nations is incredibly interesting, plus there's the whole military collectible factor that helps you meet all sorts of folks collecting some of the most ridiculous and interesting things.
This thread got me reminiscing on how much I loved the older style snacks from the 70s and 80s. The rock-solid, vacuum sealed cookies and bars and whatnot that they did away with over the 90s for the most part... those were the best

It almost makes me want to break open one of my older ones... almost. If I had a whole case of em that would be different though
