Hi guys,
hey, the camouflage patterns is one of my favorite matters since I'm a kid :P
Talking about the German and Chinese Flecktarn (ok laughing_man, nobody said the brown Flectarn was Japanese  ), I've got old BW German trousers in Flecktarn that looks very brown, I couldn't find another one like this. Could it be an early version or a prototype or just bad quality pigment that has faded?

Hey Stef check the excellent link that Housil gave to me up the thread.

I think it covers this period there.

I have found some interesting IDF camouflage patterns too, though they like their olive drab still

I will post some pics.

What does the lable inside says?

There are sometimes little differences in color from:

New "summer" Flecktarn, more bright and green colors:

Autum pattern of rain smock, more dark and brown colors, but same pattern

Very often washed, so brighter colors:

To me, your "brown Flecktarn" seems an older, autum, often washed pants.
That regular one is pretty new, right?

Hi,
yep, I know that excellent site and there was another one, not available anymore "Truppenversuche der Bundeswehr 1976–1994" but I couldn't find exactly my trousers camo (that's not the "brown" flecktarn).
This one is not bad either, more "general" http://camo.henrikc.dk/

Ehh.. the "new" desert flecktarn isn't new ;) It's called Tropentarn..
They are very easy to get in German webstores, they also don't make a problem about international shipping..

www.survival.de and http://www.army-nato-shop.de/shop/
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.
