That coffee reminds me of natto. Image

nasty stuff...tastes like raw egg mixed with a slime mold.

Sounds delicious..
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

Guess it's time this review got a seven-year bump....

I was scrolling around in the menus from before the turn-of-the-century trying to figure out what meal my "beef and mushrooms" might've been from, when I saw the item "Thai Chicken", and was going to ask if anybody had tried it. Sure enough the inestimable Housil had put up this review.
Now... I just have to find one.
However, the question I am left with is whether the pre-turn-of-the-century "Thai Chicken" was the same as the later "Chicken in Thai sauce".... anyone ??

FYI- I had picked up those "beef and mushrooms" at a job-lots store back around 2001 for something like $.79 cents a package. I know we ate some at Mesa Verde National Park in May 2002. That was the occasion on which I discovered how easily they would heat on the dashboard in bright sunlight. It certainly did beat the overpriced hotdogs in the concession stand. I actually still had one of those pouches left when I joined the board here a couple of years ago. They are certainly one of my all-time favorites. If the Thai chicken is anywhere near that good it would be a treasure find.

I have both - sending to CmCilm94 for a detailed analysis and review. (Sorry ratattoo i'd send you one too but i'd already told Craig i'd hook him up with these... when i get another you're my guy for further testing! ;) )

They have slight differences, including weight and caloric content.

Also the acc packets came with that lipton black tea.

I had the same one a couple years ago (just sitting around in my kitchen). I kind of wish I hadn't given mine away now that I see how it looks.

Yummy!

Just found this thread and this is interesting as I was afraid of the Thai Chicken as I thought. It would be loaded with Sugar.
Really did not know anything about, just a prejudice about U.S. Army Asian themed meals. Had one in the Mess hall back in 1980 and I thought boy this is a change.. Yes it was, I found the U.S. Army is not very good at making 'Authentic' Chinese food. Whoa.. They must have dumped Ten pounds of sugar in the pineapple sauce.

So when I saw they tried making ration entree based on a Thailand Recipe or style, my brain said.. warning Warning Warning.. They will drown it with sugar :P
Interesting, I may have changed my mind
