Thanks for sharing. I need to get a pic of a couple cans I got from the local Ukrainian market. I got one called 'Army Brand pork loaf' in a camo can, for the novelty value, but haven't been brave enough to open it and try out yet. Been years since I've seen it, but I remember a fwe stores that sold the Grace brand soup.

A Polish friend told me that "Army food" is a good sales argument in Poland. In France it would rather mean "no, thanks"

Hummmm, yummy
Generaly I appreciated the bread in every part of the world I visited but the ex-Soviet bread from the state bakeries is really one of the worst things I have eaten : tasteless, looking like a old dry sponge and with an inimitable aftertaste of dust....

Hi,
you must be right, we have eaten once or twice some homemade food and it was OK but the State shops food... beuaaah (only their vodka was OK).
