Well, right now you can't order a case in the US because no one here is selling any. You might be able to buy them from ileonc in the UK but shipping would probably be pretty high. We've never been able to purchase FSRs or MREs "officially" from the original suppliers because only the US military and certain approved Federal and State agencies are allowed to purchase them directly.

I got a reply back from the supplier on friday and they said quite fankly that they do not ship directly to the US. But they were quite polite as well in regards to my inquiry. Anybody else have this problem. If so, how can we in the US, get some. Seems kind of ridiculous that the FSR is a US ration but we here can not get them.

FSR's are only stolen in the UK ! You should know that...

How is it we can get MRE's then? Do people steal them off of the training bases? Does the military sell them to the public after the inspection date? What is it?

If they are 'Real' MRE's, then they are technically stolen, whether they're expired, and 'rescued' from the dumpster, or just borrowed.
The only exception is if they were given to refugees, and then sold. As far as I'm concerned, once the Gov. gives them away, they belong to someone else...
The FSR's, being brand new, have to be stolen, as they are too new to expire, and they certainly have not been handed out to refugees in the UK !

So what you're saying is that real MREs are all stolen...except when they're not stolen. So doesn't that just boil down to "not all real MREs are stolen" or "some real MREs are legal"??

As for the FSRs, I'll agree it's curious that they're available so soon on the civilian market. But just because *I* don't know of a way to get them myself doesn't automatically mean that anyone else who gets them must have stolen them.

Well, unless you can 'Prove' that you got them legally IE: after a disaster, then they must be stolen, misappropiated, dumpster dived, borrowed, whatever your defination of 'IS ' is, Bill .
If there is another LEGAL way of getting Official MRE's, let us all know !
I just plan on getting them wherever I can, for a good price. I'll let whoever stole them originally take the heat..
And I'm sure we all know the gibberish written on the side of the cases is just that...gibberish. There is NO law against selling MRE's, just wishful thinking !

You know if you look at Housils photos of all the FSR cases he purchased it definitely looks like he got some REAL FSR's; not copies. Housil provided us forum members with a side view of the cartons and the printing/description is EXACTLY like you would find on a MRE carton. Doesn't seem to fishy to me that these are the real thing. "Sides I've seen enough MRE cases in my lifetime to know what is fake and what's not.

Simple...the thing is ..How the hell they got it first in the UK, and Europe ???? When here are so elusive that even people in the military ,they haven't seen one yet....
