Last time I measured for a rental tuxedo I was a 42 Inch chest, my East German BDU is a 42inch an so is my British S95 shirt.
my parka is a 39 chest so theres atleast 3 inches of play in them maybe more (I have not measure in a while )

Sometimes there are bigger ones (up to size 16 available). If it will fit Rudi (jubifahrer), it should fit to you too.

I bought a Swiss Alpenflage jacket at a surplus store a while back Have you seen that?

its very strange I cannot see it working that well.

Housil is great with finding things, I think he soruced most of my East German impression from ebay.de.

the main difference with a Tropen is the other fabric! Also no front zipper, just buttons. Netting at the arm pits to increase ventilation, insect protection

I did lot´s of motobike tours throu the alp mountains and saw all their armies (Austria, Swiss, Italy).






Austria is still wearing OD.

Swiss army camouflage seems "funny" to us with it´s red spotts
But they will blend in a flowered mountain meadow

3 color winter Flecktarn

Ach so! The colours are lighter more green and the design is different, a quick search of my trusty German dictionary... Tropen = Warm Tropical/Jugle area near the Equator.
I searched google.co.uk on images using 'tropentarn' and only the 3 colour desert was found. It would appear that the name tropentarn is being mistaken for the desert type.

If you do find a size 8 that would be great Housil, Desert flecktarn is not that common on British ebay. If you find just the outter part that would be great..
If you would like any British gear, just ask.

That winter flecktarn looks good, unusual. I like it
