Kman, when I contacted him with Oletroop he quoted me $65.00 per case and when I contacted him with my other name he quoted me $70.00 and he stated both times that the cases are sealed and never opened which told me that the heaters are there. He did not state that directly but just said sealed never opened. His postage seem reasonable I think not like some jerks on there who want $50-$55 to ship to ship 2 cases.

Even at $70 for a case of 2008 production isn't to bad but there is so much competetion on ebay right now but some cases go very high too.

I'm just waiting for the 2009 production ones. My buddies at Bragg are looking out for me for some but they told me that hell might freeze before they see them but just the other day after the snow here I called one and told him hell froze over. LOL

I only have two cases of the 2008 MREs and I try to use those for pictures for the website and here...so I've been trying to find 2-4 more cases for my real emergency supply. As for that pricing, it seems decent enough but he is making a little extra money on shipping. When you ship two cases together like he shows in those eBay pictures, you actually end up saving around 25% off the shipping cost.

Did you ever end up buying any MREs from that ebay seller "authenticblingbling"? If you did, were they legit issued MREs??? Or were they just civilian Menu C's? I was thinking about bidding on one of the auctions since the guy's got a 100% positive feedback rating on over 500 transactions, but it just looked too good to be true. It also looks like a bunch of other random ebay sellers are selling what appear to be legit issued cases of MREs...or maybe they're just using swiped photos. Hard to tell.

I just checked ebay to see if any of the MREs were still available from that seller, but he's got nothing up for sale right now. I just sent him a message through ebay asking when he'll get some more MREs in stock.

Jpak, no, I never ended up buying any MREs from that guy. I already had a couple of cases of 2008s so I was more just curious about his pricing. But from what I could tell, they were legitimate MREs. The Menu Cs are pretty rare to see on eBay outside of being sold by MREDepot.com. Those suckers cost around $80 even from MREDepot so it's hard to imagine anyone buying them and being able to resell them for a profit.

It's tough with eBay knowing which auctions are good and which aren't. You just have to keep an eye on the auctions as they come and go and eventually you'll get to know which pictures are lifted from other auctions and which ones are genuine.

Gotcha...did you ever write up a review of your 2008 MREs...or are those getting stored away???

Just a little observation I have made.

I purchased a case of EVERSAFE meals from a seller called "authenticbling" not "blingbling". This seller was also based in Texas. Also the backgrounds on their sites is the same ( blue with the red desert mesa). While looking at other listings I came across a seller "annsatticjw". This seller had the same background on their item listings, also in Texas. They also sold a variety of MREs soch as, Eversafe, HeaterMeals etc.. Maybe no connection..but I thought it was interesting.

Now that's a great review kman! Especially like the photo progression from separate MRE components to throw everything on the spaghetti...it'll make it taste better. That's awesome. Thanks.
