The President

Post by jfko6 » Tue Nov 04, 2008 11:57 am

There were many things on the ballot. Democratic, Republican, Conservative (McCain fell into this category), Green Party and other affiliates for President. It's hard to track those members who suddenly show up on the board.

I always had a hard time looking at the board because these machines are old and there are no plans to upgrade them. It's easy to miss something. It's a good a idea to look at the charts before you vote. They should be posted in the voting assembly. There is a special amendment ballot concerning veterans that will allow the Veterans Administration to certify disabled veterans for benefits. It was an easy yes but it was easy to miss because the ballot measure is located in the lower right hand side of the board.

There were many Supreme Court Justices on the board. It was one sided Republicans or Democrats.

McCain and Palin.

God Bless America!

Don´t forget it´s not McCain that want´s to increase east-west relations. He´s a former Navy pilot and was maltreated after he was shot down in Oct. 26th 1967 over Vietnam and went to Hanoi Hilton as a prisonor with several broken bones.

I bet, he will remember very well that his torturers came from a communistic country.

Btw, Romania is where?!

You cut the branch you sitting on

Hope he is a better politican than pilot

"...Navy pilot John Sidney McCain III should have never been allowed to graduate from the U.S. Navy flight school. He was a below average student and a lousy pilot. Had his father and grandfather not been famous four star U.S. Navy admirals, McCain III would have never been allowed in the cockpit of a military aircraft..."

"...During his relative short stunt on flight status, McCain III lost five U.S. Navy aircraft, four in accidents and one in combat..."

Hey Kman, they were'nt kidding about the turnout in VA. I took a day off, showed up at 0600, and there was 75 wrapped around the outside of the Bldg. and it was raining, moderate downpour. If it ain't raining, we ain't training. I turned around and came back at 09:30, cast, no P-blem. Funny, how the Euros think they know everything about American politics. They want to attack John McCain, as a poor A-4 pilot, but this other fellow, has nothing at all, but he's a professional Chicago thug, with socialist ideas. 8)
After the Chicken and the Egg, came the "Omelet"!

Romania is East from your place. U know, wake up in the morning, steer your face to the rising sun, note the direction and walk two months straight in that direction to reach my branch. :D :D :D

Balancing these two folks, I tend to choose McCain, not because he's white, not because he's older, but this guy had the balls to go at war, when many others dodged the draft. He choosed to go to be blown in pieces over North Vietnam, because he believed in something. Maybe it was the Stars and Stripes, maybe he was educated that way by his family, but he had taken that decision and this made him a MAN, and he deserve my respect and my consideration.

I don't know if my english is good, but I hope I made myself clear.

and better hope he don´t rememeber to "our" old enemy - the east 8)
Russia is/will supporting the islamic Hamas in their fight!! (When palestinian President Mahmud Abbas was visiting Moscow in July 2007)

Do you know why "all" eastern countires have been/are poor and/or out of business?!

They spend most of their money and effords in weapons, armies, war preparing etc... instead of their own countries economy, working places and peoples

Germany is at 3rd place as strongest econemy nation after USA and Japan in the world, the strongest all over Europa with their 27 countries!! That´s why we have all that eastern refuges and criminals over here.
I don´t need to move two days to east to get my car, wallet, money, credit card stolen... :D

I hope the new US President will also remember his peoples, country and econemy first. Doesn´t matter to his name to me!

Iraq war killed at least more US-troops than the whole 9/11 attacks killed Americans in the States. it also crashed the US econemy as it costs the USA $435 million a day !!
That´s the Bush legacy :!:

i have to disagree housil about our economy being crashed. we are having some problems but far from crashed.
"Do not attack the First Marine Division. Leave the yellowlegs alone. Strike the American Army."
Orders given to Communist troops in the Korean War;
shortly afterward, the Marines were ordered
to not wear their khaki leggings.

Just got back from voting myself. I was prepared to wait all day in line...had my stash of umbrellas, ponchos, MREs, and assorted reading material all ready to go...but there were only three people in line and we were out of there in 10 minutes.

If any of our non-US members are curious as to what an election balllot looks like in the US, here's the sample one from my district:

http://www.meckboe.org/Pages/SampleBallots/58.pdf

The actual ballot was an electronic touch-screen - it looks just like the PDF but it was all touch-and-go.

Remember I said "...every 7th US American lost his home..." as interest raised from 3% up to 7.9% "over night"
One new foreclosure for every 1,117 U.S. households, increased 45% in January from the same period a year earlier.

OK.
replace that "crash" by "in seriously trouble"

You need somebody that bring America back to a healthy econemy, that take care of the US peoples first, no at far east foreign countries and sacrifice American soldiers!

Why "win hearts" in far east but loosing home at home?!
