Every postal package is being scanned today, especially overseas item US-Rest of the World and vice versa.
It's an almost automatic procedure. HG's will easy show up on the screens that are programmed to search for specific shapes of items.
If you write 'camping gear' on the package, but is is holding HG's, it will be noticed. And you have a problem because you broke the law by deliberately giving a false statement.
Rations however ARE indeed camping gear (I use them solely for camping and short day trips, as you all do), so you will give no false statement.

Well, I suppose that's true, however what if you shipped 4 pounds of marijuana and called it Medical supplies?
