I had one of the new style dutch ration and I really didn't like the crackers for some reason. I was disappointed because the crackers are usually the best part of the rations.

OK.
1998 rat. pack

Kleenex & Duncans
Cardboard brew kit
2002:
Duncans, no brew
kit at all, just single items
2004:

Toffly, Yorkie, brew kit in ordenary plastic bag
2005:

Similar, some different pounches, cans
So,
My boxes aren´t "new" because they still have Kleenex, Duncans...
Do you know what "NOS" means?!
New
Old
Stock
New and
old doesn´t refer to the age, it refers to the condition to collectors.
But you are right, my "current" was on the wrong box
But we don´t need to see the chocolate, nor the tissues Sherlock, we just look at the date...

to see they are 2001 made

and in new condition.
btw:

Jan 2007...

See first post.
A "new 200
1" is NOS allways.
If somebody else would post a "new 1995 MRE", nobody would "complain" it´s brown color...
