I remember years ago Magic Pantry was one of the IMP suppliers, and they had a few similar entrees for the civi market. Cabbage rolls being one of them; they came in a plastic tray with foil cover, picture a small scale T-rat tray and you get the idea. This had 3 C rolls in it, and was pretty damn good.

I have always loved the cabbage rolls!! However if you have the chance the Hungarian Goulash or the meatballs with the instant mashed potatoes added to it is amazing!!

I've always wondered what those cabbage rolls looked like but I not very interested in actually eating them (my first reaction is - yuck!). But I'm glad you liked them.
I guess the pic seems worse that it realy was.
Actually it was a sheet of cabbage with a ground meet/rice stuffing, brine and some veg (tomatoe).
They had some extra pepper sauce with it - but I don´t like it this hot.

So I didn´t used it.
I like the IMPs - they have a tooth pic wit it

KMan, you're amazing me, really. I ate 12 cabbage rolls by now and I'm goin' for another batch of 12. Look for some Romanian Churches in your area and ask the people if they can provide you some
sarmale, this is the romanian name of cabbage rolls. Is one of our national dishes.

I'm really sorry that I can't send you some homemade sarmale by mail, but I invite you to taste, any time you'll come to Europe.

Thanks, AK - I guess I won't knock it until I try it. Now where is that Romanian Church in Charlotte? I know where the Vietnamese Baptist Church is and where the Korean Babtist Church is...just not the Romanian one...
