Do you know if these are commercially available? It looks like something to try although can some be bought over the Internet? If so can you provide a link here on this forum? thanks

The Swedish rations is hard to find, you can get your hands on some
through the Swedish auctionsite called "Tradera" (=ebay look-a-like).
I Bought one ration this summer and it cost me 253 SEk = 36$.
And thats for sending it in Sweden, it will cost you plenty to ship it to the states.
The standard SOP in the defence is to sell stuff when the expirydate is
gone, that means you dont see this kind of selling compared to MREs in the USA. Swedish Army is trimming down and has severe shortage of money to invest on rations.
Only units (coastal rangers, Paratroopers, Rangers) normally get these rations so you need to know someone at the regiments to get your hands on them.
I have a limited stock of these rations, only loose bags (complete) of breakfast and supper.
My best advice is to contact Drytech directly in Norway and hope they can sell to you.

The rations shown in this forum are the smaller ones - 3500 kcal. The larger ones are 4500 kcals and are really good. Those are the ones for Swedish Rangers. They are delivered in packs of 8 which weight close to 11 kg. To be compared with 16 MREs and additional breakfast packages... Not to mention chocolate...
Nice knife btw - the survival knife for Swedish AirForce pilots.

Thanks for the info, stene. Do you have any pictures of the larger rations?

Have no camera available - the ranger rations are a bit larger than the standard ones - they contains additional stuff in the sections for lunch and dinner. The weight is 1.1 kg instead of 0.9 kg as for the standard ration.
