When you can find them (usually only on eBay), they can go for anywhere from $20 to $40 or even more if the bidders get real crazy.

Thanks for the offer norge but I still have a few treacle puddings sitting around here somewhere...just waiting for a special occasion to dine on them.

That much, its bout £10-£20. My surplus store sells them for about £6.00, they were £5.00 but have gone up in price its the same for MRE they sell for anything up to $20 each in the Uk.

I'll check postage on the brit 24 hour pack, prehaps if its cheap I might be able to send 1 or 2 out to the US, I have a feeling that postage will be pretty expensive though, prehaps a trade?

I think the last time I checked with a shop in the UK, a single ration would cost me about £6 but it would cost £20 to ship overseas. That pretty much killed it for me - especially with the current exchange rate.

Fortunately, one of the Canadian members here managed to find someone selling a bunch of cases of British rations and I was able to pick one up a couple of years ago.

I haven't eaten an MRE since they came in dark brown packets, but I have to say the pressed beef (or was it pork - or doggie doo-doo?) patty was just disgusting. I know 'everything tastes good when you're hungry', but I'd have to be close to death to appreciate that one. Also, the instant coffee was some of the worst coffee I've ever had.

One more vote for the clam chowder as being worst of the worst...

Also, tootsie rolls and assorted charms ( ehhh... tastes like coloured sugar... yuck ) are not my fav´s :x

Hi, I found the CCC "edible" but I still have a clam chowder pack and everytime I want to open a MRE I say to myself, "no, leave this one for another time, yes, the clam chowder... hmm: later..."
