That´s my warnings from March last year. We don´t use "miricals" and we know why we refuse the use of it all over Germany. Not EMS only, at clinical purpose also!
The side effects were to dangerous and we know that from beginning.
You can controll EVERY outer bleeding by pressing a dressing on it.
Using a tourinquet to stop a bleeding is not a regular treatment!!!! You will squeeze all blood vessels, nerves etc. and the patient may lose his arm/leg etc. for sure! A tourniquet is a "ultima ratio" (last resort) only means, you can use it if the patient will die for sure if you don´t do it. Not even a cut off arm nor leg will need a tourniquet! You can controll the bleeding with a regular bandage too - you just need to know how
I´m a professional paramedic for 13 years now. I never ever had to use a tourniquet yet. In the first moment, the musle layer in an artery will contract and close the artery. Thats the time to tie a bandage. If the artery will relaxe and start bleeding, press on the artery on a proximal point. That stops every bleeding too.

Don´t use a tourniquet careless!
Beeing in combat under fire is something different - but nobody over here is
