dirtydave, i dont remember the name of the moive but it was about volcanos going off in yellowstone park the guy made it to a goverment comm bunker and ate up all the mres then left

LOL, that sounds pretty funny. I would like to know the name of that so I can watch it. I want to see him eat the Country Captain Chicken and then run into the volcano to get rid of the nasty taste.

kent, the name of the movie you are referring to is called SUPERVOLCANO...thanks to kman for finding that out. Not a movie but a game: in VIETCONG you have MCIs on a shelf in your personal bunker-they´re quite accurate compared to the pictures here. Sadly we don´t see Steve Hawkins(main character) eat one of them. There´s only a note in his diary that the kitchen at SF camp Nui Pek is awful, and Plei Ku was alot better.

I played that game but did not like it. It was too hard for me. I play Joint Operations: Escalation. In fact I just got done playing with some friends a bit ago. Spent about three hours playing. Ever play that game DemolitionMan?

Well, you should buy a copy and play it my good man. kman and I were on a squad together that I started awhile back. It was the OMEGA MEN SQUAD. kman, perhaps we can start up an MRE SQUAD. We can call it -MRE-

Episode 7 or 8 of S. Sielbergs "Taken" and
The 3 Kings with G. Clooney. even with a HUGE factual error :
The movie takes place right after operation destert storm, Clooney is distributing MRE´s to the starving iraqies. They are light brown , but should be dark brown !

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but I remembered I had mentioned the MCI's in Vietcong, and I recently came across the survival game "The Long Dark", in which you can also find MREs. I attached some screenshots. The latter two screenshots show an earlier version of the MRE in-game, you may notice a certain symbol on it. The German translation is 100% spot-on, whoever translated that did a hell of a good job!
