Heh, I haven't actually put in the order, I'm still trying to figure out what to get, quite a few things I want, and I'm not sure how to make everything fit best into my price range, which is sorta low since it's xmas. But that woulda been the fastest shipping I'd ever seen.

I never order anything from "The Land of the Kook", that being Cowabunga. I'd advise against it. The folks in Indiana will come thru, if you need something. Otherwise, just trust your Ebay spider sences.

Seems that the answer is right here in our own midst.
Oddball mentions it on his website copy. It's all being drop-shipped from MREDepot in California, not from Idaho.
There's a related thread and discussion about these MREs in the
General forum of thise site. Some of the members here feel that the ones that
Oddball is selling are actually "fakes".

MCIera, I just took a look at the mredirect.us site and couldn't find where they mentioned that these were dropped-shipped from MREDepot.com. Can you point out that link for me?
I took a closer look at the pictures of the MREs that Oddball posted on his site and they appear to be different than the "Menu C" MREs mentioned in that other thread - by which I mean to say they appear to be real military MREs. The pictures aren't that big, but I think I can make out the "Commercial resale" text on the side of the case and it also appears that these cases do have the cardboard lining in the case, which is something missing from the "Menu C" pictures.

Ah...maybe I typed too soon. I see Oddball's site says "All cases will be shipped from our warehouse in San Clemente, California" and San Clemente also happens to be where MREDepot.com is located. Coincidence?

Oh sorry, I guess I should have been more explicit. Yes, the reference to the "San Clemente warehouse" was what I was referring to. And much of the copy on the Idaho website seems to be from Steven Cyros copy.

Cyros does sell the civilian wanna-bee MRE's (I don't waste my time with those), but he also got a contract to supply USGI MRE's. He's not allowed to sell the USGI one's retail (violatiion of federal regulations pertaining to manufacturers responsibility) BUT, a single third party can sell all his overflow legally.
That would be me, via mreditect.us
I have in stock what's left of the 2007 MRE's (both A & B) which I ship from my location in Idaho. To save on shipping (I'm 1800 miles from him so it'll cost a pretty penny to ship to me) we decided to just have him ship the orders for the 2008 MRE's directly to my customers.
I don't give a rat's patootee if any of you have a problem with him or not, but don't pass around snide innuendoes as to our integrity. We've been in business since 1981 and ONLY deal straight-up with everyone.
I explained our shipping procedures clearly. Each case weighs 20 pounds. This isn't rocket science. Call UPS yourselves and ask them how much to ship that amount to you from here.
Personally, I really don't give a crap if anyone buys any of these - I want them all for me!
