Since we're talking about second choices, I also really like it when the sour skittles bunch up and turn into something like a big non-frozen Popsicle. My teeth get pretty sensitive when I eat the sour Skittles, so I tend to avoid them for that reason. The taste is amazing though. I think peanut M&Ms would be my second choice.

I was starting to become concerned that no one would vote for the Live Savers. I really do like them. I can imagine it being nice to store a few in your pocket so you can savor them throughout the day.

I wish that was an option! Per the listing at https://www.mreinfo.com/mres/mre-menus/mre-menus-2019/ Tootsie Rolls aren't present. I haven't had any 2019 MREs so if someone with experience can let us know if there are any or not, that would be appreciated.

I was kinda referring to the olden days lol. Thinking late 90’s maybe. Tootsie Rolls and those caramels with the vanilla center.

I got some brown bags with the vanilla caramels not long ago. Caramels looked so good, smelled good, squished good. Very good storage and looked forward to eating them like the rest of the MRE. Nope, weird funky flavor, something went south. So disappointing.

The Toosie rolls were just fine

I almost consider the freeze dried fruit to have been like candy, UK calls fruit dessert in their rations. I am really enjoying those fruit bricks, they never go bad. They need to bring those back. You can rehydrate them but I like to each them dry and crunchy.

Not sure if international candy counts but that Pate de fruits form French Rcirs is so amazing. If i could buy that one bulk i would buy 100 of them without a problem.

Although the French drink mix is awfull and Almost ruins the ration for me:(

I chose sour skittles....but tbh, from memory I'd have to choose charms. while bad luck, they made for good trade during basic training when we were fed MRE's in the field.
