pork rib, boneless, imitation

Post by bishopmarine » Thu Dec 13, 2007 11:32 am

okay last i also tried the pork rib leftover from some mre's. i stuck it in the microwave for 45 seconds on a plate. when i took it out the plate had a puddle of grease on it. put the rib on paper towels and cleaned off the grease. slothered it in texas pete hotter hot sauce. which is awesome by the way. i ate it with wheat snack bread. actually my son ate the wheat snack bread i ate the pork rib. he did give me a little of the bread. he did not eat any of the rib of course. although he does eat some spicy food i would not give him that. the pork rib is pretty good. really funky texture kind of scary looking. but the taste is good.

Cool...I love Texas Pete Hot Sauce but I'd never seen the "Hotter" hot sauce - I'll have to look for it in the grocery store.

And yes, the Pork Rip does have a funky texture, but I think it's pretty tasty - I only wish they had two of them in the regular MRE Pork Rib - one for each piece of wheat snack bread they include.

This link is to a bottle of sauce with an adjustable heat scale.
It says it is imported from the USA.

I wonder if someone from McDonalds had the pork rib MRE and decided to put out the McRib sandwich.

They do taste great, when you can get it ..

Out here on the west coast..it's a limited time offer and only in certain area.

I eat them when I can..
