Another interesting website

Post by Big Galloot » Tue Nov 13, 2007 6:29 pm

This site specializes in individual sized packets for travel and camping;

http://www.minimus.biz/default.aspx

The prices look reasonable and it's the only place I've found that sells parmesan cheese in individual packets. I'm still trying to figure out an excuse why I need to buy some 2.25 oz glass bottles of Heinz catsup.

It's definitely interesting, if not actually useful.

pretty cool stuff there.
"Do not attack the First Marine Division. Leave the yellowlegs alone. Strike the American Army."
Orders given to Communist troops in the Korean War;
shortly afterward, the Marines were ordered
to not wear their khaki leggings.

Cool site. Looks like a lot of the stuff I "liberate" from hotels that have good morning breakfast spreads. :-)

By the way, why is ketchup called/spelled catsup?

Here's more than you probably wanted to know about the whole ketchup/catsup controversy:

http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Cafe/5536/ketchup.html

Interestingly enough there *is* a Chinese connection:
The website above wrote:Ke-tsiap or Kecap was a spicy pickled-fish condiment popular in 17th-century China and is said to be the origin of the name "ketchup." British seamen brought the ke-tsiap home, then introducing it to other nations.

Dang, Kman.......... Where do you get this stuff?! :shock:

Hey there Big Galloot ---- check your local Wally World (Wal Mart) for those teeny, tiny, bottles of Heinz "Cat Soup" (good one housil! :lol: ). My Super Wally carries them in their Deli Department near the cooked / prepared food area. Not sure what the price is though.....
