You may have already tried this, but when I'm out and about I go to Googgle and enter "MREs near me" and it finds basically every place that may have them. Then you can, call and ask.

Army Navy Stores Grand Junction, Colo. ?

I didn’t, I guess that’s why you make the big bucks. I’ll try that. Years ago, before the internet (You kids get off my lawn!) I tried to buy some direct. The address was in Cortez Colo., and when I found it was just a ordinary neighborhood home in suburbia. Yeah, no. The nice lady informed me, they don’t sell ‘em out of their house. I was really good at sniffing out Army/Navy stores just by driving to a certain part of town. But that plan backfired.

Army Navy Stores

Well technically the internet was around, but it was limited to large universities and government. It was originally a DARPA affair. No world wide web, no cell phones. Analog bag phones maybe. Surplus C-rations were still in the Army/Navy stores, and still edible, mostly. Yes it was a long time ago.
