C-rats...those things actually came 40 to a case? Wow.

Az556...if you ever get around to opening any of those, I'd love to get some photos to make a new LRP section for the website.

When I finally figure out how to use my new digital camera I'll gladly do that `Az. But don't get your hopes up too much --- the case is anything but very interesting. The main case is just a large cardboard box with only "FOOD PACKET, LONG RANGE PATROL" printed on one of the top fold open panels. If I remember correcly, even the case sleeve has only one imprint on it as well.

And yes Kman, 40 meals! Five packets each of 8 different menues:

Menue #:
1 Beef Hash
2 Chili con Carne
3 Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
4 Beef with Rice
5 Chicken Stew
6 Escalloped Potatoes with Pork (surprisingly good I might add)
7 Beef Stew
8 Chicken and Rice

I picked up two of these cases back in the early 80's and I still have the one left, and although it's sealed the cardboard isn't in great shape.
