You can even buy the Mountain House "Pro Pak" entrees and those are vacuum-packed just like the MCW entrees:

Saw those in a store yesterday. They look to be about the same size as what is packaged in the old LRPs, though their net weight is a little more. The packaging is very similar to that of a LRP entree with the addition of the multicolored printing and the addition of the hole at the top of the package for display on a shelf hook.

SPECIFICHE TECNICHE PER LA FORNITURA DI: RAZIONI VIVERI DA COMBATTIMENTO

CAPO I – GENERALITA’.
1.1. La razione viveri speciale da combattimento è una razione pronta all'uso, destinata ad essere consumata giornalmente ed individualmente in occasione di particolari condizioni
d'impiego, allorchè non sia possibile assicurare il normale vettovagliamento presso i Corpi ed i Reparti.
La razione è costituita da 7 moduli, che, pur avendo una composizione base per ciascun pasto, si differenziano per la varietà di alcuni componenti.
La composizione dei vari moduli, la quantità dei generi previsti da ciascun modulo e la tipologia degli accessori sono riportati in ALLEGATO 1. Le etichette da applicare sui contenitori dei singoli pasti dovranno essere realizzate in colori differenti e precisamente:
"A" : giallo
"B" : rosso
"C" : grigio
"D" : verde
"E" : bianco
"F" : rosa
"G" : azzurro

American MRE's need to integrate those little finger toothbrushes. I see lots of other (some I guess) rations have something to brush your teeth with, that would be ideal.

They don't have it listed on their website, but the Wornick Eversafes include those Brush-ups. As much as I don't like the Eversafes, the Brush-ups are a cool addition.

Hey guys - this thread took off into a whole "jokes about other countries" direction. The thread is pretty entertaining but I started getting confused about updates to the "Italian MRE" thread that were talking about German jokes. :-)
