1992 Escalloped Potato and Ham.

Had to have a old style mre for the evening snack :D
So i grabbed the Escalloped Potato and Ham and when opening the mre it was a 1992 model.

Everything was wounderful,only the cocoa was rock hard.. :(

And as usual the brownie was just like back in the days

Gave the apple jelly a try to since i used fresh cheese spread on the crackers, and it was just fine.

Looking good all the way around 😄 Did you try a little bite of the cocoa just to see if it was bad? Glad the brownie was good, last one I had was bad. Thanks for sharing.

nope i didnt open it, wife said no and remembering me how sour old milk smells like :mrgreen:
yes the brownie was a treat, havent had any bad ones yet

I heard a story about that stuff.

A couple guys were in Italy staying at a hotel. One of them opened a can of that. The cleaning staff came in the room, got a weird look on their face, and left immediately. The Hotel manager then appeared and apologized profusely, and Comped them another hotel room. LOL!!

Looks incredible from top to bottom, just wondering on how you store MREs to maintain that quality even decades after made?

When i recive rations i check for heat stress signs or bad storing mark, if it looks fine i keep the in my basement that is cold year around :D
but you never know... have found bad ones when opening them so you never know :mrgreen:
