this is not often seen, a regular date code on a mre item.
i found this in a 1983 mre, the other items was dated as usual.

Gonna add some of my own pictures from a 1998 LRP Lasagna w/ meat #5.
As you can see the meal pouch is actually a chicken ala king one, with a sticker for the lasagna over it.
