Menu #1 - Tear Gas

Post by kman » Wed Sep 19, 2007 4:35 pm

I just had a 2006 Menu #1 MRE for lunch - Chili w/ Beans.

It took my body about 3 hours to process the Chili w/ Beans and the Mexican Corn (which wasn't so bad mixed together). And then holy moly!...you would not have wanted to be in the same room with me about 5 minutes ago. Heck...*I* didn't even want to be in the same room with me 5 minutes ago. It was all I could do to claw my way out of the room before I passed out.

Wow...how'd that new menu get through quality control? What's the plan...feed the troops menu #1 and then send them in to fight the enemy...kind of a sneak biological/chemical attack?

Here are some pics of the offenders:

Just be warned if you ever try this MRE...keep your friends and family far away...but feel free to keep your enemies closer. :-)

I haven't actually eaten it, but my friends complained most about the spaghetti for gas production. I'll have to eat a chili and beans next time I go camping.. should be fun!

I hear US submarine crews are being given this particular MRE 3 times a day.
I cant think why? Maybe the subs run on gas?

I gather that this is one of those meals that are not intended for pre-flight or in-flight usage.

Kman, you must have been the love of the office after lunch ...

I always thought the old C-ration Ham & Eggs were the tops in "gas production;" guess I'll have to try this new mix. Thanks for the laugh, KMAN.
