Hi, the p38 is an 1.5 inches (38mm) and the P51 is 2 inches (51mm). The p38 has one rib while P51 has two. Both are available on Amazon just get the US made, usually marked Shelby, regards, Mike

I’d look for actual issue P-51s. I’ve seen some folks say the cheap knock-offs don’t last long. Likely soft metal. My original P-38 has cracked many a tuna can in the past year and isn’t slowing down.

I´m carrying my P-38 since 1982 on my keyring until today. Only saw a P-51 once, it came with the T-18s/UGRs.

The old 1950s-1993 british GS rations carried a can opener identical to a P51, but it was just called "can opener"
