Re: Where has the Tabasco gone?
Yeah I miss the little bottles of Tabasco as well. I think there were packets of Tabasco if I remember correctly for a short time after bottles wasn’t there? Or am I thinking of something else..
Re: Where has the Tabasco gone?
Yeah they issued some small pouches with tabasco in them before switching to the "Hot sauce"

You can still buy the small bottles direct from the manufacturer and in bulk.

Re: Where has the Tabasco gone?
Tbh imho the tabasco was always hit and miss, sometimes you could get a fresh ration that was less than 6 months old and the Tabasco was dried out and other times you could get a 8-9 year old and it was not only full but in perfect condition.
Im guessing it evaporated through the not quite airtight seal rathar than leaked as sometimes the MRE pouch would stink of it and other times not.
Im sure I remember an older post (a decade ago??) where it was discussed this smell no smell issue as it seemed sometimes a bottle would be empty but there was no smell of Tabasco so we guessed it was a filling fault?? And again other times the pouch would be dry but stunk of tabasco and the bottle was dry or looked only partially filled.
I would like to see either Tabasco or Franks (Buffalo!) re introduced in those sachets into every meal as it was always a helper especially to those in the field with menu fatigue.

I came, I saw, I ate some rations then fell asleep amongst the clover.

Re: Where has the Tabasco gone?
wait really? packets or bottles?
most wanted: RCIR, MCI/B units, IMPs, anything old, and a packet or two of RAFCO soup. PM if you've got these, or anything else to sell that isn't too expensive.
