The unit is quite a nice show but it got me banging my head on the wall when they set an episode in Valencia (my old home town) and it looks like 20th century south America
Generation kill is one i enjoyed quite too

Further in the future there is the "Expanse". Warring factions in space. Great graphics and fun plot. You get really invested w the characters.
A little out of the timeline but a good "war tv show"

The books are fantastic! I’m definitely now waiting for the next season of the show.
