fruit flapjack-good but heavy and dense oat. same as in other boil in bag UK rations.

this dark chocolate is damn good.

the pork and beef patty-haven't tried this one but the RMC loved it

and the main meal-not tested yet, the RMC wanted more chicken in the rations and they got it

the accessories pack-its missing sugar and I know why....kids sugar searching and its missing 2 teas...wife
btw the hot chocolate have now sugar and sweetener

Ive just found some of these on ebay same packed code 12/19.

I regularly buy the Summit to eat meal when hiking so i know what to expect from those and theyre pretty good.

but im really interested in the beef patty and the pork n beef patty so ordered one of each menu with them in.

I'm curious about the hamburger, the beef and pork patty, and the custard with fruit components.

Yeah they are produced by a company called European Freeze Dry who used to produce the Mountain House meals for the UK and now Produce the Summit to eat brand.

Not sure why Mountain House stopped producing meals here in the UK as most of them were great, their loss I suppose as the Summit to eat meals are very good for freeze dried products especially the Mac n Cheese and beef stew.

they taste fair but i found them a bit dry ish, the hot dog that was in the rations before was better

summit taste just the same as mountain house, MX3 is a french company,not big meat pices in the meal... taste good at least

Yeah, I bought a case too, probably the same seller haha, he said my case has 2 menus missing, so there are duplicates of some menus. will have to see if anyone wants to trade my duplicates for the missing menus.

Well today the kindly postman delivered me these.









I cant wait to try one, maybe this weekend after work ill try one.

The internals of ration menu 3 minus the drinks pack which seems standard.
I checked these contents before a recent camping trip as i always do to make sure the product is good and fit for purpose when on the mountain trails.



The cake was Cinamon and quite tasty.
as was the caramel cereal bar (outer stated cookies and cream bar).

I took some MRE tortillas and jalapeno cheese spread and made a nice wrap with the pork and beef patty, it was quite similar to US MRE beef patty but a little drier, more solid in textue but tasty.

cheese oat biscuits are very nice, basically Nairn's cheese oat cakes but a little smaller, nice with the cheese spread.

Oatmeal very sweet if somewhat plain. a few chunks of chocolate melted into it helped a great deal.

The Chicken korma was very standard dehydrated meal, not too flavourful but not bad, nice chicken pieces, as usual adding a little less water than required gave better results.

Havnt had the oaty desert yet.

peanuts good, cola bottles were more like Haribo softer sugar coated jelly sweets rathar than the more solid sugarless ones I got as a kid (35 odd years ago!) but still a nice reminder of this being an English ration.



no other pictures as the weather was terrible on my trip and most of my comfort and time was spent in the tent while wind adn rain battered around us.
