the nuts was a bit dark but not bitter, could taste the cherry's real nice so it was just like the old times
cheers ken
Ken,
Those nut cakes in my opinion were some of the best items ever included in MRE's. I was lucky enough to get a few from Steve awhile back, they were absolutely delicious! I think my favorites were as follows (in order):
1. Chocolate Nut Cake
2. Cherry Nut Cake
3. Maple Nut Cake

nice, and you got the Munch bar iv been looking for
I purchased a case of 1997 vegetarian only MREs (which was only a variation of two menus) and each MRE had a Munch bar in it. That's where it came from. They were all rancid; the peanuts were incredibly sour.

woow. Thank you so much for sharing this! beautiful.
Also, what is fruit soup? Is it just like it sounds, just fruit in some kind of powder, and you just add water?

Oh wow! Sweet. My grandma used to make the best kompot, with apricots, sour cherries, and apples.

Pulled out some ice fishing gear I haven’t used in 20 years.
Low and behold an Accessory packet C with the glorious Tabasco bottle unopened in bottom of bucket lol.
1998 8027 packet, 1997 7323 Tabasco

maybe half of my 1989 RAFCO stuff. The rest is in storage, I'll dig it out later.
Raspberry fruit soup, nut raisin mix, oatmeal and cookie bars and candy bars

On an impossible mission to get every ration ever
Looking for Vintage, rare and just plain strange items
